About Us

We are HAND IN HAND CHRISTIAN MONTESSORI! We are one of the largest Christian Montessori communities in the USA with over 400 active learners.  We are one Academy, (a 501c3, non-profit organization) with three physical campuses in Minnesota, USA and now, one virtual one.

  1. Central - Roseville

  2. South - Bloomington

  3.  West - Wayzata

  4. Virtual Campus - NEW!

  1.  Increased information and understanding. The first benefit to virtual Montessori learning platform is that students will often explore information about the world in whole new way! Montessori is based on constructivist principles that include hands-on and concrete concepts.

  2. Improved accountabilityVirtual classrooms are accessible to any child providing they have access to a computer and stable internet connection. We have a new Chrome Book for you to check out to use at home. Course materials for your child’s online course can be accessed at any time over the Internet, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.

  3. Community and relationship building. Another benefit to virtual classroom learning environments is that they also let children build relationships with other children with who they share common goals and values. They can joining during chapel and which can also help with their teamwork skills.

  4. Cost savingsThere is significant cost-savings to our virtual campus model allowing children in other educational setting either homeschooled or private schooled, to have supplemental enrichment programming.

  5. Expanded world view in international cohort. Kids who learn in virtual classrooms will often get to meet and learn with children from all over the world and from different cultures and backgrounds. Insights into how other cultures and people approach problem solving can help children to better their own skills.

  6. Improved technical skills. Children can learn new tech skills and become more proficient with the keyboard and applications. Acquiring the knowledge of how to collaborate and learn remotely can be a definite plus in a future career.

  7. Greater flexibility and comfortChildren can learn at their own pace with pre-recorded virtual classes, dipping in and out when it’s the best time for them. It's also comfortable learning from home and can be better option for children who have limited access to a Christian Montessori setting near their home.

OUR MISSION

Hand In Hand's Mission is to Advance the Kingdom of God through Christian Montessori by reimagining education for infants through adolescents to love, learn and lead.

Jesus said, "You should love the Lord Thy God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it, you should love your neighbor as yourself."

Matthew 22:37-39

MONTESSORI HISTORY

Dr. Maria Montessori was one of the first female doctors in Italy. Although misunderstood by her contemporaries and some today, she was a pioneer in her thoughts and actions toward children.

Our Values: The 3 Cs

Christ-Centered

We love Jesus. He is the center of who we are, why we educate, and what we teach. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.  We bind this truth on the hearts and the hands of the children. We want children to LOVE God, themselves, and others as well.

Constructivist

Learning is an active and constructive process. Constructivist education emphasizes hands-on involvement, critical thinking, problem solving, organization, self-advocating. We want children to LEARN authentically for their entire lifetime.

Collaboration

Believing that parents are the first and foremost teachers of their children, we work hand-in-hand with parents in a unique fashion as we partner in the education of the child. We also want children to LEAD in collaborate efforts as well with others.
